Effectiveness

« Back to Glossary Index

Effectiveness refers to the degree to which something is successful in producing a desired or intended result. It is a measure of the outcome achieved compared to the goals or objectives set. In various contexts, such as business, education, or personal development, effectiveness is used to evaluate how well a task, process, or strategy accomplishes its intended purpose. It differs from efficiency, which focuses more on the resources used to achieve the result (such as time, money, or effort). An effective approach, strategy, or method is one that yields the desired outcome, regardless of the resources used. Effectiveness is a key indicator in performance evaluations, strategic planning, and decision-making processes.
